The City of Clanton's leadership consists of a Mayor and a City Council made up of four Council Members and one Council Member Pro Tem. Terms of office are four years in length with all offices falling into the same election cycle. The next City Election will be in 2016.

The City Council meets publicly on the second and forth Monday of each month, unless the meeting date falls on a holiday, in which case the meeting will be rescheduled. Check the Calendar of Events for more details.
